    Quality rear sight question

I was wondering if someone here might be able to help me. I am looking at a 4,830,xxx Quality Hardware carbine, it has a flip sight(GE-Q) with no sign of stake marks. Riesch says type III usage started at 4.7 mil., Ruth says type III were used at the end of production. Is it possible that the flip sight is correct on this gun?

Disregard Reisch info here. QHMC used flip sights throughout their production and use of adjustable sights by them is in question. Your sight sounds correct.

A quick note...on a QHMC with that serial number you should see a staking pattern on the ends of the leaf pin that looks like a big letter X. Earlier GE-Q sights had a circle stake pattern at the ends of the pin.

Well it is mine, appears to be correct with the exception of the mag catch, bolt group, and front sight.
