    Movie

Watched this the other day based on a true story of the first negro naval fighter pilot in the Korean war.
It takes a while to get going but the movie portrays what Ensign Jesse Brown went through to become a naval aviator you eventually find out what they did to him to try and fail him.
A very watchable film even my wife enjoyed it as usually anything war related she'll just go OMG not again!

Hope it is as good as the book

I have not seen the movie yet (will watch based on your recommendation) but I have read the book. Adam Makos | The official webpage for Devotion the book by Adam Makos.
Jessie Brown was from my home state. Makos is and outstanding author and I think this is his best work.
This account of the devotion of Marines from different parts of our country and of different races to one another and their fellow soldiers is the perfect story to heal the racial division being sewn in our world today.
