FN FAL Type B Bayonet w Unique Scabbard T-48 or SA? For Browning Style Flash Hider

Rare FN FAL Type B Bayonet designed for Browning style long flash eliminator. Shorter 6.5" blade.
Not sure if this is a US T-48 Trials model (unlikely), a South African Police one or from another country. No markings on the bayonet that I can see. Unique scabbard with US M1910 style wire hangers but the scabbard is similar to the SA Type A style (without any webbing or straps) The throat of the scabbard is definitely for this bayonet but it has a weird standoff that moves the bayonet handle further away from the belt. The Type B is rarer as it was only used in small numbers by Chileicon, Cuba, South Africa and the West Germanicon Bundesgrenzschutz (Federal Border Guard).

Overall very good condition with some wear from handling. The blade has some rust stains on it but no pitting so it should clean up nice. There are some sharpening marks on the blade but I'm not sure if that is from factory (unlikely) or someone wanted to put a finer edge on it. Scabbard is in excellent condition with mild wear and no major dings or dents.

    $550 Shipped
