Italian Breda Bren Spare Barrel Holdall

This recently came from a UKicon Militaria dealer, an Italianicon Breda Bren spare barrel holdall. It is only really just a copy of the UK/Canadianicon version. There are no markings that I can see and it appears unissued.

The question is did Italy produce their own version of the wallet to go with their Italian made holdall? I haven't seen one or seen one offered for sale but that doesn't mean Italy didn't produce one.

I acknowledge such item but in my time as a soldier never saw it. MAGs just don't seem to break or need anything more than cleaning and oil. Of course, we aren't talking hours of sustained fire. Also acknowledged spare barrels but who carries one when out on a couple of weeks' patrol in the bush.

Jim, did Canadaicon use Bren spare barrel holdalls for the C6 MAGs when they first came into service to carry the spare barrel?

The holdall pictured post 1 has all the features of the Bren spare barrel holdall including the facility to store the wooden stick for the mop and wire brush (pic 3).

No, the Bren was SO far removed by then. There was nothing left. We started fresh.
