    SA Former Danish Garand 2811016

    Hi all US members
    Long shot here.
When I Was in the Danishicon Army 1980
    I have SA Garand 2811016.
At that time she was a very good shooter.
I scored a silver shooting batch two times
Both times only one point from gold.
Allmost all Danish US build Garands were sent
    Back to USAicon in 1990s.
So it could be fun to hear news from my old friend.
So if any out there many have bought her at CMPicon?
    And maybe still ovn her?

Today I own toe Garands my self:
A IHC 1954 gab letter in good condition
A SA sep 42 former Danish one who escaped the
    Return ticket too USA
Also in werry good condition with most original
Parts still there but with a Danish VAR barrel

Here's a link for search and your rifle shows up. USRifleCAL30M1.com

Reads " SA 2811016 Private Owner local gun shop Very clean rifle. Danishicon VAR barrel dated 8-66. TE gauges less than 2. Very tight and accurate for an "as issued" rifle"

But, it doesn't say a name of who the owner is of course.
    Regards, Jim

Pitted barrels to an armorer can be a death knell. Most will change that barrel. Our direction certainly was to do that.

I was in Cyprus in '75 and saw the Danes carrying the M1icon rifles there. I remember wanting to go have a look at them...
