Early 1930's era H&R Sportsman target Model 999 revolver

I bought this from an estate sale some years ago as I like the break open action and the bore and cylinder were in nice condition. This model has the early pin lever on the right side which will release the cylinder from the frame when the pistol is opened up. The front sight has a screw in front which will adjust the height of the sight. The rear sight is excellent and there is quite a choice for pistol grips.

I have fired standard velocity 22 long rifle cartridges but recently found some CCI Target 22 shorts and decided to try them out at about 14 feet distance to see how the 22 shorts will target

Very nice! I've got a soft spot for these revolvers, as my first top-break was one as well. Currently have two, late '70's and early '80's.
