A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Joe Salter...I knew him at one time. That was years ago when he came out here to visit an old friend regularly. If it's really odd, he'll have it. He has the volume.

Faris had Trials Lee Metford Carbine serial 32. Poulin Antiques auctioned it as lot 2019 in their 4/2017 auction for $ 4100. For what I remember this is including buyer's premium.

Edit: that Faris rifle is the example illustrated in Lee-Enfield on page 81 - also Ian commented on this one that there were 100 made for trials and they were later fitted with hand guard and brass butt plate screws. Also he noted that this one was possibly reblued.
