The battle of plaman mapu - borneo 27-4-1965

Yesterday was the 58th Anniversary of this little known battle. I arranged to take three lads back in 2015 who were in the 36 man remnants of B Company 2 PARA at Plaman Mapu an established outpost on the Indonesian Border with Borneo.
Finally Youtube allowed the film to be shown so here is this moving story of 36 men fighting off 400 Indonesian Special Forces on that fateful day. A logistically a hard one to organise but so worth it and very humbling.
Made by Chris Terrell award winning film maker, famous for Commaando,HMS Queen Elizabeth Aircarft Carrier series.

    Thanks Gil.

I'll have a look at it as soon as I'll be back home.
I remember reading about it in an Italianicon specialised magazine when I was a kid.

    Ovidio,

Well worth watching, it was so moving for the guys returning to the battlefield as elderly men and not the 18/19 year olds who fought off a formidable force back the. People still scoff and say it was impossible 36 v 400 and win. Its all down to Tenacity/Guile/training and Esprit de Corps..............UTRINQUE PARATUS
