A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. You mean a Boys Rifle converted to .50 BMG or still in the original .55" cartridge/barrel?

bound to be .50BMG, virtually all of the existing live examples seem to be converted.

In the USAicon you need paper work for the 55 cal Boys plus very difficult to make or find 55 cal cartridges, while
the 50 BMG caliber is easier to sell and cartridges and reloading powder and bullets are available

The .50 BMG cartridge has been banned here in New Jersey.... along with the M1icon Carbine.

$6,000 is a good price. I wouldn't sell mine for less than 10. There's currently one on an online website with the starting bid at $14,000.

In Canadaicon you would still see them come up in .55 about every second or third for sale. We didn't have any sort of caliber restriction until a couple years ago. Many would have both a .55 barrel and .50 cal barrel when sold. Unfortunately no longer legal for either in this country.
