    funny service story

me and the fellas got together for a shoot yesterday , we got to trading funny service stories , i had a couple i was stationed aboard a Trident in the 80's , we were getting ready to head out and disappear , the SEALS were on a training OP which was to take control of the base

well they stole my captains car and he was having trouble to get home to his family for one last night as a result , he was fuming , ranting mad , i was a E3 standing roving topside watch with a sawed off 870 , i could here him telling the PO of the Deck we were not participating in their game , if they board our boat we were to shoot them

im a 19 year old kid , im not shooting a Navy SEAL i thought to myself ,so watch was a slow one , i could hear car alarms and commotion , they were wreaking Havok on base , so im back towards the stern and as the missile deck fades back it dips below the water before re emerging as the rudder

i see something moving slow in the water , its night , so i grab my crappy gray Navy flashlight and as i shine i see this wet ,black ,something pull itself up on the boat hardly making any noise , a SEAL trait , i call out , no response , PO the deck shouts whats up , i called out again , still no response and it starts advancing further up , i call out repell borders

whole boat mobilizes , ared back up arrives at my location and with the added crappy Navy flashlights we could see the invading entity , it was a actual seal , the ball on the nose arf arf type

oh boy that was hard to live down

I meant shooting an actual seal, you'd have been roasted yourself.

You may have only been 19 at the time and it may only have been an "actual Seal" attempting a boarding but you were doing your job properly, while on guard duty, in protecting the submarine.
