Any ideas about this holster?
I recently purchased a S&W victory revolver (4” in 38 special) from my go-to dealer (Dogface Supply). It came with a holster and belt, which I understand came with the pistol from the same collection. No back story.
Can anyone tell me anything about the holster? I dont see any markings. Not to say the revolver and holster are some how tied together- but if it helps the SW Historical Foundation records show the revolver was sent to the US Navy after manufacture in 1944.

I have seen these reportedly issued to US navy with revolvers, M&P. IMA shows one for comparison they say is original and Simpsons has two. They always have good stuff.
For what it's worth, I think you caught a good one.

Thanks Jim. I had assumed I had some ad-hoc rig, but neat to see it does tie in with the Navy revolver. I’ll have to do some looking and find out if there is a designation and what company(s) made these.
At a minimum I’ll have to put the revolver in the holster once in awhile so it doesnt go flat.
Cheers.

All the holsters I had were US marked so yes, it's odd in that way. I'd have grabbed it if it had been available too.
