Neat stuff. How does that safety work on the 3rd sight?

    Jim,
The safety on the Howe Whelen requires some modifacation of the firing pin / cocking piece. The Goss sight seems to be not quite ready for the market since it has no safety.

Do you own a Ullrich Vosmek sight? That sucker has to be rarer than hen's teeth.

    Jim,
I have several sights and 03 gadgets unmarked and in experimental stages that origin is unknown to me. If you can post a picture of the Ullrich Vosmek sight we can either identify one from my collection or add another sight to my want list.

It looks like the Howe Whelan Bolt Sleeve Sight has the modified safety on the right side, that lever marked "ready".

These are the pictures from the patent. Vosmek was a friend of Alvin Linden's, and lived very near him. Vosmek was famous for building rifles, shotguns, and drillings by hand.
