Thumbs up What is carbine brass worth?

    Hi,

I don't do much with M1icon carbines or ammo so I am at a loss as to what range pickup mixed carbine brass is worth. I have 292 cases that I picked up and want to see if I can find someone that needs it, I do not shoot this calibre so I have no use for this brass. Can someone give me a idea of what it is worth before I post it the .284 winchester brass and the Sierra 100 Gr. .243 slugs in the for sale or trade section.TIA

    Regards

    BudT

Ahhhh, its worthless.... ahhhh, in fact possessing it will actually cost you money so you need to send it all to me immediately....

Seriously, it depends on what it is. New(never fired) R-P .30 carbine brass is running about $22.00 per 100 when available. I was paying about .03 - .05 per case for once fired good manufacture brass (R-P, Win, etc) before everything jumped sky-high. The milsurp was about the same, but I always questioned its condition before buying. The cheap stuff (Amerc, etc) I always tossed or wouldnt buy.

The value of your brass is going to depend on what headstamp you have and have and its condition. I would recommend doing a good description and a pic and posting it for best offer. Right now the supply of carbine brass seems to have dried up and you get a few cents more per case if you can show it in good condition.

    Once fired Carbine brass value

As long as is NOT American, I would say once fired brass should be worth about 15 cents each. Perhaps a bit more depending on how bad you want or need it.
    Good shooting.
