Where did you get the 0.360"+ dia. 180 gr. mould? I reckon I could bore out a 0.358" mould, but its a bit of a bother. (Quickly running out of old surplus ammo don't ya know!)

You don't need it. The .358 bullets do perfectly well.

They're OK for IDPA and CQC(at Ft. Benning) but not quite for some of the longer stages of Steel Challenge. Misses really hurt when there's only one spare round per string. (OLd and odd stuff are much more fun when they run on par with the new fangled gear!)

Well, colour me stupid, but I just measured several cylinders and found that there IS one that has 0.358" throats. Its a mismatch cyl. on my first Enfield revolver (a 2" bbl. job) that hasn't been shot in several years. The cylinder times up fine in one of the unshortened revolvers with the "el grande" throats, so an accuracy experiment is in order!
ETA: Turns out it was just dirty! Throats actually do measure 0.361-0.362"

I have a "friendly local bullet caster" who runs a few thousand 0.360 180 grain lead bullets for the 38/180s (close enough to the 38/200) and also runs 250 grain 0.454 heads for my Mk VIs and the odd S&W in 0.455. Charges me the same as regular heads but then I do a fair amount of business with him (mainly purchasing "odd guns"). If anyone wants his net address, just drop me a message (I can only access the board at weekends as Uncle Sam has a block on at work!, so responses may be a little late). Dave_n
