    War Baby

Hi guys, I just wanted to tell you that it pays to check Amazon periodically. I just out of curiosity checked and they had a new copy of War Baby vol. 1 for $69.99. Needless to say, I bought it. The last time I looked about 3 weeks ago, the cheapest one was around $125 - $140.

That's about the current price give or take a few dollars and worth every cent in my opinion. Free shipping is a bonus.

Great Book. Well worth the $69.95. The aftermarket prices on abe.com and Amazon are just what the various sellers feel like asking and vary wildly. Kind of like Gunbroker . I bet that some of the rare books on abe.com are humped, too, especially the ones that allegedly have handwritten dedications by Mark Twain and so forth.

How many editions are there of this book since it's first edition?

I see the book available at every gun show I go to at about $70. I remember my first edition was $39.95. When I bought it I thought it was costly, but worth it. And still worth it at $70. When out of print it will go up just like the Cole knife books.
So Larry, where is the next book?

I know I'm breaking a rule by reviving an old post, but figured Jim might already have War Baby III. I've been reading a thread on the CMPicon Forum, and see that it's now available from the publisher (same one). Anyone here have any comments on the book yet? I'm going to look for it at the next Portand gun show I attend. - Bob
