2008 Christmas M1903 that was not gonna' be a project...

.....well it became one. Can't gripe, the price was nice, shipping included.

Needed some correct screws, milled trigger guard assembly and handguard, and yea a good floorplate, Herschel tried but it didn't happen, the one J.B. sent to me worked. Thanks to both of you men. Last coat of tung oil on the handguard curing as I write. Done.....cept' for shootin' this USMC. Bill Ricca had a hand (guard) in this project also, he provided the fine Remington HG.

The top HG in the third photo is a Booher (Booger)that came with the rifle. Have no good feelings about those. The one mounted on the rifle is one of two bought from Bill. The one on the bottom is the second, unfinished.

Take a look, think it's a keeper now.

Nice job. Projects just seem to crop up out of thin air sometimes.

Nice rifle. Bring it up to the Swamp and let's do some serious shooting. I finally found a thousand primers to match my thousand bullets. Sounds like a lot, but I have been known to go through 100 a day. It is getting expensive, but I am getting better.
