Just recieved this bayonet with a Jungle Carbine. The inside of the Scabbard has the fingered spring for the blood groove and It is difficult to put the blade in the scabbard without it getting cocked from the spring not lining up with the groove in the blade. Probably a newb question :bash: but this is my first British bayonet and Im wondering if its normal. Thanks in advance.

See the top picture? Now turn the bayonet round longitudinally through 180 degrees...., now it'll fit. You could do the same but with the scabbard if that's what rocks your boat
The springs are positioned so that little ribs in the springs actually sit into the grooves.
I do put it in the scabbard so the springs go into the groove. Its just that when I first start putting it in, the springs want to push the blade into the edge of the scabbard before the groove gets to the springs, and then it wont go in anymore, then you pretty much have to pull it out and push it in hard so it stays centered. These can be tight, they are that way so they dont rattle or fall out, I have many that need a very definite push, being gentle dosnt work
