Been looking at a Saginaw S'G', serial number 1857938. It has a Saginaw barrel. I Know S'G's generally used Underwood barrels. Ruth and Duff do list Saginaw barrels as one of the type used by S'G'. No import marks

Both IP and S'G' are listed in war baby as using S.G. barrels but I think IP was out of business before S.G. was in full operation. S.G. did send barrels to S'G' between Oct. and Dec. 1943 with 12,226 reported as being received by S'G'.
Thanks. I'm looking at a couple of other S'G's that both have Inland 10-43 barrels. Ruth and Duff also list them as one of the barrels S'G' used as well. Does the date sound about right?
The Inland dates sound right as S'G' received 26,341 barrels from Inland between Oct. and Dec. 1943 but I wonder about the S.G. barrel might not be correct for a serial number in the 1.8 range as by Oct.43 I think S'G' was into the 3.2 serial numbers.
