Did Saginaw S'G' carbines ever have Saginaw barrels?

The Inland dates sound right as S'G' received 26,341 barrels from Inland between Oct. and Dec. 1943 but I wonder about the S.G. barrel might not be correct for a serial number in the 1.8 range as by Oct.43 I think S'G' was into the 3.2 serial numbers.

Possibly, although according to a couple of reference books I have, Saginaw serial numbers are pretty mixed up and it's hard to tell exactly when a given serial number was manufactured.
