Hardener Substitute for Cerakote

Hey anyone know what the "Hardener" for Cerakote is made from?

Basically long story short, I ran out of Hardener for cerakote and there are a few small part I want to finish. I have enough finish left, but no hardener.

Anyone out there know where I can buy a substiture at say a local hardware or paint store, to save buying another kit from brownells?

Hmm, good question. One thing you could do is try to get the company to send you the "MSDS" sheet. Sometimes they may not want to tell you "use product X, it's the same stuff but lots cheaper!" but companies can be ok sharing the MSDS sheet with you. Then you know if it's a simple product or some weird mix unique to that company's product...

Why not take what you have for Cerakote product and visit the local auto paint supplier or someone who paints aircraft. There are various paints that take hardeners (really drying agents) and perhaps they can match your MSDS specs to one of their hardeners.
