M91/30 trouble loading magazine

Hi Mosin fans!
I'm fully satisfied of my M91/30 (re-worked by the Finns). Only, I got a little trouble with the magazine sping. Or better: when I load a round it's all ok; when I load the second one (suppose I want have 5 bullets into the magazine) it's not so easy to put it into and after the shot, expelled the fired case, the bolt doesn't "hook" the following round. It slides over the ammo. Of course I cleaned up the spring and I controlled all was/is right; it seems the spring works. Anyway....:dunno:
Someone told me about a metal piece on the left of the receiver (slang: "interruptor") but I don't understand how it must work.
Well, what can I do to rersolve such a trouble? All the advices are welcome :help:. Thanks a lot!

this doesn't sound like a magazine spring issue. it does sound like it's the interrupter. i've drawn an arrow to the interrupter in the Mosin Nagant.

it should be depressed far enough into the side of the receiver after you've put the first round past it to let the other rounds be loaded and chambered with no issue, but they can get in the way sometimes. it keeps the ammo from popping up out of the magazine when loaded. if it sticks out too far it may need to be repositioned or replaced.

you're welcome. if you remove the stock, you can get to that part very easily so it shouldn't be a problematic repair

Interruptor allright. For some reason all Mosins seems to have issues with those.

I have a cherry Chicom Mosin and I have never been ever to get to work. It's been a single shot for decades.

Blackcat, have you taken the mosin bolt apart to clean it. Or has the rifle always had this problem? It sounds like either you have a problem with the way the rounds are being presented to the face of the bolt as it is pushed forward. Or possibly short stroking the bolt.
If you load only one round the rifleseems to operate properly.
But when you want to load more than 1 round you have this problem.
When you use more than 1 round do you load with a stripperclip, that may solve the problem for you.

Hi Michael! I cleaned up bolt and interruptor: nothing changes.
No, I don't load using stripperclip, I was thinking to find one to try.

Brass stripper clips work better than the steel ones. The steel one's seem to only work ok with brass cased ammo. The copper washed steel cases seem to just stick to the clip and are impossible to load. I would say that you shouldn't waste your time with the steel clips because now the surplus market is filled with copper washed steel cases. I hope you can fix the problem with your mosin. I've never heard of this issue before.
