Two 1911 Commercial with Holsters

Hello,
I thought that I would share a bizarre set of 1911's with Holster set that I bought several years ago. I never really studied the set or did any research. They looked cool so I bought them! Thanks for taking a look and let me what you think or tell me what I have. On to the pictures:

Two commercial .45s. Nice. The 1911 appears to have a marking on the left rear of the slide? The lighter coloured holster on the left has no US? Or is that just the way the pic turned out? The darker holster looks to be WW1. What marks are on the back? Nice pair to have, 1911 and an A1. Both C numbered.

And how careless of me to not mention the Mills pouch and an Eagle snap pouch. You NEVER see those.

The holster's a Boyt second war issue. Now I can see the US on it. The mark I saw on the 1911 was the rampant stallion himself. Left rear. I forgot about that marking. Nice catch.

Well, when you post some web or leather gear you have always to post also pics of ALL markings you can detect. Judging by eye what do you have is:
- An M1912 pistol belt datable 1918 (being khaki colour)
- A rimmed eagle snap pistol mag pouch made by Mills in 1915-1916
- A Mills made (puckered bottom) pistol mag pouch datable 1918 (2 LTD snaps and khaki color)
- A Boyt made 1942 dated M1916 holster
- A unknown M1916 holster (check for markings on the hook attachement or under the flap)

The Mills magazine pocket came with both rimmed and rimless eagle snaps in 1914.

Yes, it is. Rimmed snap first appeared in 1914.
