Colt 1911 Government Model C3019
Good evening,
I finally lettered Colt Government Model C3019 that has been in my collection for a while now.
Shipped to Joseph A. Marks and Company in Detroit with one other pistol on April 17th 1913.
I suspect this *may* have been purchased by a Canadian soldier for service in WWI. Detroit is near the Ontario border and these were a popular firearm with members of the CEF. The pistol surfaced in a Montreal estate.
The pistol is all original including the barrel, keyhole magazine, and 'fire blue' small parts.
