I finally got out to the mountains and was able to test some of my restorations. All but 4 are mine, one is a buddy's and one is in original condition. None blew up, only one had any casing expansion and I now know which is the best shooter. (Funnily enough it's a No 5).
Oh, and I now know my eyes are too old for iron sights. :(
You've done very creditable job there. The old girls look great!
I should add that these are my strange restorations - rifles that had cut barrels and I made into faux versions, and No 5's that I still can't get flash hiders for. All the normal Enfields I've restored didn't come to the range that day. Most of them I've posted about previously. :cool:

There's always room for improvement, but that's part of the fun.
I know a guy that has an original butchered one and wanted to fix it up... i'll show him what you have done.
