You should have a lot of fun with that. Felt recoil will be about nil with that teakwood stock. Only one word of warning. Be careful inserting the mags or you can jam it up. There's something written about it very recently on one of the SMLE boards. Might be on this site or over on Gunboards.
Give it a read if you can find it as it may save you some annoyance later.

Have not shot it yet but did have some of the mag problems as mentioned. It does take a learning curve to place it in right but it is real easy now. Don't plan on being in a fire fight just now.
I will not be using the sights as I put a 3x9 scope on it. The weapon does come with a sight adjust tool and I am going to see if it fits anything else.
Right now, the rifle pleases me in just it's shape and form. I am looking forward to see if the shooting pleases me.
The weight does not bother me as I am a fairly large fellow and somewhat fit.
I do not intend to carry it in the Pa. deer woods as I have my Thompson Center .308 for that. That is another fine rifle.

Im thinking about getting one myself,if i see one at the local gun shop.
About the Mag jamming,just insert it at an angle,they a bit stiff when new but,wear in overtime.
I love the AIA rifles,i have a M10 B1 in 7.62x51mm Nato(.308),can shoot it all day,my mate who has a tikka T3 in .270 lets off about 20 shots and his sholder is buggered.
You will be able to shoot 50-100 rounds no problems.
Here is my AIA M10B1 with Zeiss conquest 4.5-14-50 mil dot and leapold PRW medium rings.
They gret rifles the AIA dont believe the crap of people who have never even held or seen one,all my mates who have Tikkas want an AIA:beerchug:

AIA seem to have done a production run for No.4 MK 4 lee enfeild Rifles for the US market,it says that they only made 25 Mk4 in 2005 made.

I have read that the Mk4's that were made for the US market ended up in Canada; and the carbines (less than 2,000 of them) landed in the US. I think the web site information is old, as it hasn't been updated in a long time.

Did have some gas leaks around a commercial loads. I think they were Remington. Probably soft primers.

I love the .308 round,not much kick,and when you hold one they are so well balanced,i do not notice the weight in em.
I was going to get a Lee Enfield,(still might),but alot of them have been thrashed in Australia.The good ones no one wants to sell...bloody collectors:D
So here is me,wondering if i should get a used thrashed Lee,and pay a gunsmith to fix the problems in the Lee...OR purchase another AIA.

Yes, I am happy with it. Takes some getting used to. No felt recoil but it is a loud mouth at the muzzle!
However,it is a heavy rifle when carrying in the woods but it balances well.
In the general discussion forum I did mention that I found one for sale at Cabelas (USA). Four digit serial number for $699.00 in 7.62x39.
