Ebay feed back score one both counts say's it all really. Got 'leave a lone' all over them.
What ever someone wants to post and sell for what ever price is their right. The good part for us is we have very knowledgeable resources at the ready to help us avoid the pitfalls of collecting. Buyer beware!!!! always
His links to other names is indeed fascinating, as stated earlier I thought Ebay frowned on "covert" use of numerous names? Not sure after emailing the guy, what in fact I am looking at.......mounts might be PH but don't recognise the scope manufacturer, has someone confirmed its breeding?
Don't even bother looking at it. It's a ten-a-penny bog standard No53 sight. Only worth its optical lens value and at that price, you could get new lenses ground
I sent him a polite message when he first listed it pointing out that Parker hale did not exist in WW1 and got a rude reply. When I bid £35 for the No 53 scope he was VERY rude. His other prices as noted are mad.
Perhaps I'm "daft", but I recently bought a No.53 scope for 100 Quid. That may sem high to some of you - but I saw one sell a month or so ago for 140 Quid. I'm just afraid that in shooting my No.4 (T) rifles I will break something and won't have parts to fix it. I intend to keep exercising the old girls until I'm either too old, or I finally run out of ammunition!
There's no doubt about it but since Peter's book came out the prices of No42 & No53 scopes have risen significantly, simply because everyone now knows that they are useful for spares to keep our No32's up & running. Even so I have a limit beyond which I will not go - if the vendor wants more than that then they sell it to somebody else, not me! (I am prepared to pay a similar price to Jimmie). I don't get every one on offer but I still just about manage to pick up enough for my requirements.

it appears that the same poster has relisted this on ebay as of today, using same photos, etc.....maybe a good parts scope for a 32, but not at his ungodly price.
well it sold!
