wouldn't there be a need for some sort of support at the rear of the rifle? seems ther would be alot of strain or load on the front of the rifle. something you would not want on you competition tuned rifle. brownells sells similar equipment currently that theoreticaly performs the same function but exicution is different. point being that rifle is supported at both ends.
I think we need someone with a collection of old PH catalogues to give us the answer. I have a few so will see I can find the answer
