Here's what the typical American one looks like but to my knowledge, these were never used by the military beyond perhaps the Civil War. We don't have alcohol rations. I spotted it in an antique shop today and took some photos.

The U.S. did have cigarette rations, not sure when they ended. C-rations I believe. MRE’s never had them.
My last C-rations would have been late 80's. MRE's started to get to our levels mid 80's but they were still a novelty. I seem to remember tiny packs of maybe two or four cigarettes per ration. I never smoked but gave them to someone else or threw them away.
