Here's what the typical American one looks like but to my knowledge, these were never used by the military beyond perhaps the Civil War. We don't have alcohol rations. I spotted it in an antique shop today and took some photos.

The Royal Navy also use to have cigarette rations which were duty free but you were not allowed to resell them. Looking on the net just now I was surprised to see that this only ended as recently as 1989.
