No, it goes on from the muzzle end. You have to remove the front sight to get it off and on.

No, the front sight comes off for that. By the way, the trigger pin isn't seated all the way through. Is it correct? It doesn't look to have bags of extra on the other side...but it seems to have slipped to the inside.

You might want to look at a type 1 magazine pouch and cartridge belt again. The snap on the stock is in the correct position for the stud on the magazine pouch for a right handed shooter.

The snap on a pouch is on the inside of the back. Snapping onto the stock the way it was before you removed it would have left the mags and opening flap on the right side of the stock. For a right handed person. Gone it's good.

@browningautorifle JIM, you were exactly right about the trigger pin. I just tore it down and reseated the pin. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!~ I put two more photos down below (one of the trigger pin and one of the pouch in what I think is correct).

Trigger pin FIXED...Thanks Jim! And so with the (lame) snap on the stock now gone, this would be the correct position for the magazine pouch for a right handed shooter, right??

If you need a stock pouch, that would be about right. That's where it fits I guess. The benefit is having three mags with the gun in case of a quick grab...home defense perhaps...

Believe it or not, I actually have a loaded magazine in the pouch and have thought about that if someone was inside the house, I would have the ability to have an easy reach home defense weapon. That would be crazy!~
