Need help identifying the stock on my carbine

Back when your carbine was made and in it's original stock and narrow barrel band the Oval PW stamp was stamped a few inches forward of where your narrow barrel band would set. That way the barrel band didn't cover it up. As production moved on and barrel bands got longer, WRA moved that PW stamp farther forward. What this tells us is if your Bayonet band is currently covering the PW stamp..... and that it's pretty likely you have the original barrel.

Dang Charlie, don't tell me that lol.you're going to get my mind to thinking and I'm going to end up spending a ton of money tracking down the original parts to return it to its original state lol. I have to say the finish on the barrel and receiver match perfectly. It really does appear that they have both been together throughout its life.I have already thought about it in the past to returning my carbine to its original state so it would match my Garand which is an all parts correct 1955 Harrington and Richardson. Too bad the finish on my carbine isn't perfect like the Finish is on my Garand

BTW you can date Winchester and Underwood stocks easily by the markings. Each of them changed their markings several times during production. Most only changed once or not at all.
