I would not part with
L39A1
pre- L39A1
No4T's x 3 == 2 all matching and one with transit box. 1 ROFM 1941 dated one
No1 MKI*** 1906
No1 MKV
1920 Royal Naval marked Lithgow
I have others but these I would not part with ....
My first post on this particular board so I'll be brief. My holy grail is a LE cavalry carbine with a butt disc marked to either the 13th or 18th Royal Hussars.
My Holy Grail would be the No 6, very scarce
My Lee Enfield holy-grail would be a Long Branch made between 1941-1946 that has my grandmothers inspection stamp on it.
She inspected receivers there during those years, and stamped them with her own inspectors mark... I've got a '42 Long Branch, but it doesn't have her mark on it unfortunatly.
Mine would have to be a pre 1914 No 1 mk III marked to the 7th Wellington regt. Unfortunately most of them are lying on Chunuk Bair and the Somme.
I do have a No 1 Mk III* with a Wn 10/43 ID disc which is neat.
For years I have tried to find a new, never fire #5MK1 1947
Got very close, but never found an unisued, never fired, except for factory testing.
Didn't know this forum was here, or would have got here sooner.
Faz or BSA?
My '47 Faz was issued but my BSA (M47C) is unissued and is unfired. The collector I bought it from removed the cosmo. and unfortunately had in a display of Enfields that he dragged around gun shows for many years so it now has a few marks but is in beautiful shape and matching.
I would have taken either. I have seen and owned Faz, 47 in near new.
What part of the country did you find that piece?
Ever thought about selling it?
Is that the only unisued #5MK1 you have seen?
Any pictures available?
I assume it has the metal cap on the forestock.
