    Faz or BSA?
My '47 Faz was issued but my BSA (M47C) is unissued and is unfired. The collector I bought it from removed the cosmo. and unfortunately had in a display of Enfields that he dragged around gun shows for many years so it now has a few marks but is in beautiful shape and matching.

I would have taken either. I have seen and owned Faz, 47 in near new.

What part of the country did you find that piece?

    Ever thought about selling it?

Is that the only unisued #5MK1 you have seen?

    Any pictures available?

I assume it has the metal cap on the forestock.

I got this rifle about 20 years ago here on Vancouver Island.
I think I paid about $300.00 for it back then. To date it is the only one like it I have seen but on the Island the number of Milsurps available is a bit limited.
I did at one point consider selling it…for about half a second but dismissed the thought as just plain foolishness.
    As for photos OK here you go;
    BSA (M47C) unissued No5MK1:

    And with my 1947 Faz:

    Very nice.

    Thank you for the pictures.

I can understand that you would not want to part with this one.

I have stopped collecting for several years now, but if I had a chance at one like that I would go for it.

If I owned an unissued, I would pass it along to my grandson.

    Thanks again.

I've got a Unissued M47C too, Serial No.BK1632, very close to your own, there must have been a batch of BK numbered guns that were unissued.

I would have to agree. I have seen two or three more recently. I seem to remember someone else here on Milsurps having one in the same Sr.# range as well.
