I've been trying to deal with an ongoing issue of mice getting in my attic BUT then I came across the video below. I was aware that mice could climb up "creeping/climbing plants" such as ivy or wisteria, using it as a sort of ladder, but I wasn't aware that they could climb an almost smooth wall surface (apart from the cement between the bricks in this case).

I was a farmer when young and can confirm your suspicions...they can climb anything and can squeeze through anywhere. They have no collarbones to impede. Get a couple cats and end your problem...

Put latex gloves on, wet a folded up paper towel (or the felt thingy's they give you) and stick it inside a ziplock baggie. When placed inside a confined space, the plastic bag keeps it from stinking up the place although enough traces of the scent will make sure the mice don't want to live there. And inside the plastic bag it will last forever. No mice in my grill these last 2 years or more. All it took was a baggie in the cabinet. Haven't ever changed it out either.
I recently gave my Diana compressed air carbine to a neighbour. Pidgeons and mice… Seems to be much better now:D

We fumigated the silo's and laid allot of baits but you can only kill so many around the farm structures and not all of them on a 33,000 acre property!
Still I had a good tally of them with the air rifle.
