I've been watching and wondering about this S'G' the past few days, it's missing the rear leaf, big crack in the stock, no description of parts, etc. I had the seller send my a bunch of pix and it didn't look much better than the ones posted although it showed a strong S'G' cartouche and CC. I'm just thinking that if projects like this are selling for this kind of coin, what are the pristine ones worth?

I bid on it up to 1700
I have a S'G' stock that is real and would make most drool, so I would need a leaf for the sight. I can say that I paid 2100 for a original S'G'.
So is a leak worth $400 ? I guess that was my choice as it was my money.
An original inland is $1300 to $1800 for a nice one and they made several times more carbines. The stock on the auction, as is, could go for 350 or so on e-bay. I don't think that the price was crazy, I just reached the top of my gun budget, so I stopped bidding.

I seem to remember a leaf selling on e-bay last week that went cheap. I'm with Maniac on better pics and discription, and I would have to see the crack to see if it could be repaired. Seeing what S'G' parts are selling for it might not be out of line......Frank

Pepsi is the blood of life. I drink 8 to 10 a day. I miss the glass bottles, better taste. But they do come out with real sugar again in a promo a few months a year. I think it's ending about now.Quote:

Here is a normal rebuild S'G', mix of parts, type4 replacement stock. When you put things on gunbroker/ebay, you never know how much you might get.
