You should have no trouble winning matches with groups like that. My rifle favors IMR 4350 with Sierra 175 and 220 grainers and with Nosler 180gr Ballistic tips it's at it's best with IMR 4064. Just for plinking it does reasonably good with 154gr Turk surplus. The best accuracy is with the Sierra 220 gr and IMR4350, consistant 5 shot groups less than 1 MOA at 100 yds. The Noslers are a little over 1 MOA same distance but I have'nt done a whole lot of testing with this load. Hope to remedy that shortly. Unfortunately theres no competitive shooting events within sane driving distance that I know of so I'm stuck with deer, hogs and the occasional watermelon for targets. Whoever it was that molested mine took a fair bit of time with it, barrel channel opened up, action shimmed so the barrel only makes contact with slight up pressure at the stock tip, bayonet lug and upper band have been ground so theres no contact with barrel. Handgard only touches at the clip behind rear sight. The only quirk it has is with a cold clean bore it requires a fouling round otherwise it tosses the first shot off to the left about 3'' @ 100 yds. BTW, thats a mighty fine looking 1909, they sure have went up in value in the last 15-20 years. Last one I had cost 69.99 at Roses around 1995, wish I still had it.
