M1 garand rear sight WW2 sight

I got a rear sight that is the WW2 rear sight with the locking bar. The I can wiggle the rear peep sight a little. I was wanting to know if thats normal or a problem.

Your sight should be tight. How do you mean it wiggles? Is the aperature loose or the base moving left to right?

I think if you tighten the lock bar it will stop that movement.
