Found this Nagoya 6th series T99 today. All matching, mum gone of course. Nothing particularly special about it, but it was just too darn nice to pass up. Thought you guys might like to have a look!

Wow Anzac you find some really cool stuff. I have only three arisakas, one with the mum, but my favorite is my seven series Nagoya, all matching and ground mum just like yours.
nice rifle , i also have three , two kokuras 1 nagoya tokyo, all are early series rifles ,the kokura has all ww2 parts and most all match with mum intact, here is a pic of my fave arisaka, may i ask what that rifle cost you my friend? im curious as to what they are going for now thanx.

Anzac, Nice find. I have a series 6 in the 56XXX serial range. Some observations--The only differences I see is that mine has the cylindrical bolt knob and does not have the ears on the front sight . Must have been slowly transitionining in order to simplify the production. The lower bands (on both rifles) had lost the monopod mount by this time. Salt Flat

Thanks guys! Yeah, I believe this was a transitional rifle. No AA sights, but rear sight could still take them, no monopod rear band. Milsurp, this one was had for $200. There have been an awful lot of T99s appearing at the shows, so prices here in Georgia (from my observations) are pretty low. However, if an intact mum rifle shows up, those guys still inflate the price quite a bit.
Now T38s? Little different story. Don't see those as often. They seem to bring a bit more.
Gonna take her to the range this weekend. Will let you guys know how she does!
thanx my friend just curious as to what they were bringing now , i recall the days you could get a type 99 all day for 50.00 man has times changed., i know with the mum intact they are getting up to 700.00 on GB right now for a few .especially in canada and overseas in the countries like australia they pay hefty prices for mil-surps anymore. I saw an old mosin go for 1200 bucks, two old rich guys got in a bidding war over it, bet that guy jumped in air all the way to the bank lol. i sure woulda.
Carefull posting all these great finds. I may have to come to Georgia and compete. Not to worry time to short and gas to high. You are keeping me inspired however.
Ha ha! HoH,I live at the gun shows on the weekends!
I probably need to get a life..
