Waco16 - does your manual make any comment on the transit chest? I have the CES for the Canadian C3 and it shows a drag bag for carrying and a wooden transit chest or "coffin" for storage or unit transportation. Seymore - where are you located (you can PM if you like).?I might have a lead on a sight set. Ron (Canada)

No mention, I'm afraid and sadly no pictures of the internals
I added some better pictures of relevant pages - it looks very much like a typical '80's commercial hard case (maybe supplied by PH?) - it may be worth trawling ebay

The case pictured in the pam is a Stamford rifle case made by Stamford Industries in Brookvale Sydney. The case was lined with the peaked foam rubber commonly found in rifle cases.

Sadly the company no longer exists. although the cases come up from time to time on Ebay and Gumtree. In fact, there is a green one on Gumtree at the moment.

The actual case used is much more robust than the Stamford.

A bit of an update on the actual case used. My mate who owns the rifle pictured sent me these pictures.

I'm sure someone here will be familiar with the manufacturer.

Here is the hand stop, very cheap here:

Parker Hale Handstop Rail - SARCO, Inc

Here is the front sight, they are sold out but I see them on Ebay all the time:

British Parker Hale Globe Type Front Sights - SARCO, Inc

If you have access to either a M68 or M80 parker sight, the rear mounts can be found.

    hope that helps

I didnt see many PH rifles about, but the few I had anything to do with were always in a dark hard plastic transit case which was cracked!
