Inland M2 Recoil Plate Repair

This is a very nice Inland long channel M2 stock that had the recoil plate ledge broken. It took some work but now it's ready to go back in service.

Hi Charlie, thanks for the birthday wishes. Sarah made me a German chocolate cake for the birthday, my favorite. The hideout is gone but I have a new workbench. Also we have had a mild winter so far but have plenty of firewood to fill the woodshed for this winter and beyond.

That wood will be like 'Stacked Gold'.
There will be many hurting this winter with the costs of heating oil, nat gas, propane and electric.

FWIW, I took a few cold beers to a good friend Friday in the hospital. A week~ earlier he was in the back 40 tossing firewood in to the truck-trailer and complained to his wife that evening about sore stomach muscles. Thinking he had pulled something. A couple days later he couldn't stand the pain. His wife forced him to go to the hospital where they found part of his lower intestine had flipped over, causing a full blockage. Dr. said he was maybe a couple hours away from it bursting.

Hi Charlie, that left wood pile is red oak and the right one is maple, 27 pulpwood cords total. the wood shed is about 3/4 full now. We have in floor radiant heat in the shop and home (it's nice waking up in the morning and stepping on a warm floor). The propane is our back up and the tank is full. I filled it during the summer and bought the two loads of wood believing we were in for a price surge and shortages. We made the work bench out of scraps, and added the top. twenty feet of 12ga. steel 30in. deep, with a backsplash of 3in. and a drop on the front of 3in. I love it and it works great for all my projects and stock repairs. Stay safe and healthy, good luck with the deer hunting!
