Added to our 7.3 Heritage collection top C Series High Power is a 2 Para Issue one of only 5 in private hands. Bottom T Series High Power is one of the last produced in 1968 for the British Army.Although they continued to purchase High Powers upto the Glock taking over in 2012/14

Top E Series High Power is one of 500 manufactured for the British Army in 1951 (rumour has it all E Series pistols were issued to the secret services SAS & SBS) not true some were but immpossilbe to tell which ones. Records state serial number range this one was British Army.

Bottom Pistol is Modern copy of a Tokarev TT33 made by Serbian company Zastava called the M57 fires the 7.62mmx25 cartraige. Tokarev copied the JM Browning design of the FN 1903/1911 thats why its in our collection. We collect Brownings & Colts. These pistols are live and are used under controlled range days, not allowed at home but stored at the armoury at the NRA Bisley UK.

They were personal issue in NI and looked after to a high standard just like that one you have.
Nice find in a small number, as the bulk Battalion weapons would normally go to an MOD clearing house for onward use not normally sale, abroad to a "friendly" country!!

This was my High Power till recently, moved it on to make room for a nice Canadian Contract Colt 1911

I didnt want to put up too much information with the posting, but I can confirm this 2 Para High Power pistol was one of 500 issued for the Banner tour in 1978 the pistol being manufacture March 1977. Information is as correct as I could find.

It ended up in Germany and was purchased from one of there sales auctions by a UK dealer.

Hi Simon I also have a Inglis mine is early 1945 manufacture going by serial number. Also have a 1946 Danish Contract High Power.

We were testing a E Series last week & the Barrel cam in the Frame broke in two, unfortunately had to deactivate it.

I imported a few 1946 Danish contract HP's in a while ago, they all came with spare mags, lovely pistols, the first batch we got were unused, they have dried up now.

Didnt you have a deactivated 1946 for sale, I asked in a message why it was deactivated, as I have friend that was looking for a live one. Now has one.

Blimey mate you pull them out of the bag.
This is a very early 1960's Parachute Regiment image of two officers on a NATO 16 PARA Brigade Exercise. You will note the Centurion Tank exhaust in the background which dates it accurately. I think its on Salisbury Plain but I am searching for the image date for you in our archives at the museum.

They are wearing "standard" British Army issue smocks which many "Ruperts" used to do just to be different, but the rank and file in the Regiment would be wearing issue Dennison Smocks with elasticated wrists and completely different collars.
I think the Major on the left is someone I knew John ........RIP and it is unusual to see him finger on the the trigger, pistol ready for action unless this was posed for a photo shoot!! He wasn't a flapper and if he had his finger on the trigger in Ops he would be going to use it lol!

As a Regiment we were issued the Brownings on March the 18th 1944 and it was withdrawn from service on the 26th September 2013 to us.

The Sterling SMG was issued to us in 1953........useless facts but important in terms of the image.
Both are wearing 58 Pattern webbing and the 44 Pattern waterbottle which was standard for PARA Reg. Definately NOT Operation Banner or anything Northern Ireland I'm afraid
