Well, as you probably know, the markings on the buttsocket tell you that you have a No1 MkIII* made by RSAF Enfield in 1918. The barrel appears to be dated 1918 as well, probably the original barrel. The myriad of marks you are asking about are standard proof marks. What about the serial number? Bolt matching? Are the serial numbers lined out and a new one stamped? Provided the bore is good, looks like a nice restoration prospect. If you can, post some more pics of the rest of the barrel markings, receiver, etc..you never know what turns up on a Lee Enfield. I can't recall the SN right now, but I don't remember it being marked out or anything. I will double check later when I get home though. I do know that the numbers all matched though. The bore is good, no problems there, and mechanically, I'd shoot this thing right now and not worry about it. I'll try to get some other pics later tonight or tomorrow and put them up.
