No4 Mk2(F)
A friend brought this 4/53 No4Mk2(F) to me today to look at. He bought it years ago, put it in his safe and hasn't touched it since. He wants to sell it. Can anyone give me an idea on value?
It is in very good condition with clean bore and barrel - almost looks unfired. Wood is very good with just a few dings and scratches. Receiver/Bolt/Forestock match. Magazine was lined out twice and current number doesn't match. Rear sight is marked F - the picture is blurry.
Any ideas on the "Z" painted in white on both sides of the magazine?

It looks pretty good tome, and should be a real good shooter too, like 1.5 moa if its in a good mood. To get an idea of prices I browse gunbroker.com to see what others are going for, bearing in mind that some are asking high prices and subsequently don't sell. Off hand I don't know a price, $250 and under would be a good price, $450 and over may be too high, perhaps some other member can shed some light?

My only guess is that the zed was put on by a civilian club shooter who didn't want to lose his magazine.

Well 250.00 would be a bargain and close to 400.00 probably a fair price if the internals look as good as the rest of the gun. Just my .02
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
