I just bought one last week from my LGS for $300.00 with all numbers matching except the magazine, which is unmarked but original. It shoots very good and the bore is a little frosty maybe but...

"She" is an old Navy habit of mine....funny Mike....I never even think about using it. All of my cars, guns and such are referred to as "She" to me.
I really don't have any doubt it was passed through Raritan after the war and went through a repair process. It's pretty well documented that C stocks were put on after the war since it is marked...
Cool footage and cool plane. I loved the spitfire so much, my first car was a triumph spitfire.
Very sad news. Prayers sent to the family.
Of all of the things I miss, I miss my mind the most.
Sorry that was my typo!!! lol! It is a rebuild from RA-P Raritan Arsenal. NOT RR-P.
I appreciate all of the comments and while I am tempted to change the bolt out, it would be better to leave it...
Yep I would think so but there are no detailed records. I will probably just switch it out with a complete Remington bolt.
$200.00 was a steal!
I bought a bunch of them back in the early 90's for around $100.00 each. Sold some and kept he best ones. I sold them for $350-$400.
Nice looking piece!
20 years ago I paid $350.00. I would not hesitate myself to pick one up for $550.00 if I didn't have one already with no import marks and all matching numbers. The non-matching magazine can bring it...
Thanks for the reply Jim. She has been a lot of fun to shoot. From what I read over the years on 1903A3's they were supposed to have the C stocks but production never could keep up, so many were put...
So I was lucky to pick up a nice 1903A3 at my local gun store. I took her a part and stripped the nasty wax and junk whatever the previous owner had on it. It had a nice C stock on it and was marked...
Very nice. What kind of shape is she in? Running?
You're welcome. I love the Enfield rifle I have 2 No 4 mk1's, No 1 Mk3 1918 and No 5 jungle carbine. I have shot deer with all but the No 1 Mk3.
If it's been FTR'd it is usually marked FTR on the wrist and sometimes on the receiver.....
Leave it alone, go hunt and have fun! I have a lot of meat on my table from stock WWII rifles. I have yet to miss or have one walk more than two steps after shooting out there hearts. The most...
As you said there are not many nice 03's around. If you like it snap her up and find the parts if you can to make it like it just came out of the factory or know that it has been used and been many...
It is always possible to have parts changed over the years. They were in service for a LONG time. Do your research on the net there's plenty of information there. I do think it looks very nice and I...
It looks totally stock. Nice 03. I don't know why promo said it's had parts replaced....Please tell us why you think that????
I hunt with my No4 Mk1 and Mosin-Nagant WWII sniper rifle. I never use the safeties....Keep your finger out of the trigger group and don't point it at anything you don't want to shoot. Pretty...
Thanks bucconeer. I have the book and have found it to be most helpful. I would imagine all of the people who know what those marks are for probably are gone like my father who served in WWII. It...
Thanks for all of the replies.............but does anyone know what the Crown with an N under it and a FC under the N mean?
Well she's holding a decent 4" group in all. I shot two manufacturers of ammo. both 147 grain. One grouped about 2" the other a little bigger. It is also a little difficult to use the 300 range sight...
