I picked up a group of barrels at a gun show recently. One looked really dirty but turns out the bore looks pitted. ME = 2, TE= 4, SA-52 barrel. Does this barrel have much value? Might it shoot OK?...

Are there any Mauser or other handguards that are comparable in diameter that can be "woodworked" into acceptable looking handguards?
