I would like to know the value of my 1903A1 stock. It is in good condition, no cracks or damage other than a few small dings. It was probably sanded at one time. It has proof stamps and a faint...

I have had this piece of equipment laying around for a long time and have seen it labeled a muzzle brake, also a grenade launcher I am not that familiar with attachments for the M1 so I really would...
I stand corrected about the rear site inletting, I was looking at my sporter stock and did not look at the military stock, my memory isn't what it used to be.
In my experience the M1 Carbine didn't need much recoil suppression, maybe the M2 could use it, thanks for the comments.
Thanks for the information, I used to own an M1 Carbine but never thought to try the recoil brake on it.
I have this recoil check but don.t have any idea what rifle it could be used on.
The bore diameter is about 10 mm and the barrel diameter is about 15 mm
The 03A3 stocks are not inletted for the 03 rear site sleave
I would appreciate any information on 1894 Krag S/N 21139
I have a Remington 1903A3 on which I installed all milled 03 parts just because I dislike the A3 stamped parts, they fit just fine.
I appreciate all the replies, thanks,
There are two small screw holes in the underside of the handguard which could hold a single clip. It does fit on my 1894 shortened rifle. The patch on the right rear is where I tried mounting an old...
Many years ago I bought a sporterised Krag. It had a pistol grip added to the stock and some checkering done. It came with an Ideal reloader, and a lot of brass several boxes of primers and lead...
I bought a similiar looking Krag years ago, it came complete with Ideal reloading tools, 4 boxes of 30 Army ammo, and a couple hundred lead cast bullets, an equal amount of cases and primers. Cost me...
Thanks again, I have all the other hardware and a A1 "C" stock but converting it to an A1 probably not the best way to go, so I'll wait and see what I can find. By the way I also have an A3 but it is...
Thanks for the coments, I'll probably leave it as is, I would not rebarrel it , and finding a decent stock might be more than I care to do.
I have a sporterized Springfield 1903 S/N 81619, RIA Barrel dated 9-17. The stock was cut down, refinished and a recoil pad attached in place of the butt plate, sling swivel cutouts filled.
Also...
Thanks Rick, you are correct it is, RA, The barrel is like new on the inside, but it looks some one was mad at it and pounded some dents in the forend so it is a little hard to read.
I have a spare barrel which I purchased at a gun store many years ago. It is marked RIA dated 5/43 at the forend but it also is stamped about half way between ends, VIMU, I am asking if anyone...
Thanks John
I've been reading the requests for SRS checks and decided to ask if there is any info available for my Krag, it's an 1894 ser. no. 21139, which has been cut down to carbine length and the 03 front...
Years ago I fired some old 30 Army ammo, and some of the cases split horizontaly near the head, I read somewhere it was due to the powder caking and exploding rather than burning.
Thanks, The Barrel is stamped RIA, I just got in a hurry when writing about it without a closer look. It cleaned up pretty good I guess it had been stored dirty for Quite a while. I know it has been...
