If you know someone in the US then it's simple to get it sent to them and re-sent on. It is a plain bit of wood so rarely interests customs people unless they have a real anti firearm attitude.
Or...
During WW2, whilst in the Halmahera Islands, my grandfather acquired an M1910 eating knife, and I thought I'd look into the history of them.
Part of the story is easy, Its an American Cutlery Corp...
Thanks mate, I suspected something like that. I'll sniff around for a bolt. The whole thing has been going for many years so I'm happy to get it right.
PM with address on it's way.
I've been building a M82 clone from a 1200 single shot. I've managed to finally find a M82 stock which obviously has a magazine well which necessitates a change of trigger guard.
Where the problem...
Thank you !
I am building myself an M82 replica, as are a few people, and have got myself a ZF69.
I'll get a replacement barrel, but they'll want to know what twist I want for it. Ive searched but cannot find...
I believe that Jeff Trappet (sp?) flies a Sabre out of Gippsland, Traralgon if I recall.
Here's a little story about a Sabre that some may find interesting: Request Rejected
I know where: No 32 Mk 1 WW - 1943 SN -14101 is.
I put a rail on a 1200 but the rear hole needed slight elongation. Swapped it back fro bases as they looked better !
Thanks Nigel, I should have some arriving from the UK early next week. They are tough to find over here, but relatively common over there. I even found some that are for rimfire scopes.
I'd like to find 25 and 26mm with the emphasis on the 25 so I don't have to cough up for a ZF69 for a while.
I find it useful ... though like most I think I find stuff too late or it finishes in the middle of the night and I don't get up.
What I am scouring for at them moment are PH scope mounts. Like an...
Mounts should be RAL S3 for the one inch .. S4 for the 26mm I pose. Anyone have any for sale before I embark on my quest ?
With any luck it is BA22 and BA28 which are a matched pair !
As most real ex sniper rifles are out of my price range these days I am 'reduced' to making repos. I got a great deal on a PH 1200TX from which I am going to add some 'M82' stuff to to at least give...
Hi Bindi, I know that, but I would suggest that either is a better idea than a BT. I know that the size is nominally .311/312.. I have no idea which works better.
These guys say that all we have to do is ask for a flat base and we will get one. As for the diameter .. I'll let far more experienced people than me answer that.
I am a member of a group on Facebook dedicated to Enfields. Someone has popped up saying they are making projectiles for long range shooting of Nagants and LE.
They are only at 'getting interest to...
I've always tended towards the slower powders for my various reloading adventures, generally because they seem to provide the best velocity / pressure ratio. I don't care about outright velocity but...
Hi Cinders, I used various weights of W748 and BM8206 ( or 8208 not sure off the top of my head ) going up in half grain increments but the difference was immediate. I'd like to try other powders...
After getting TBone to install the repo pads on my No4 in 7.62 I assembled it and took it to the range to try and find a good load for it. I have shot it before and it is a decent shooter so I wasn't...
I have a gun show coming up soon, I will find myself a new firing pin there. I don't want to try to straighten this one and muff it up. BTW, your 'opinion' is pretty well an 'order' :) I'd be stupid...
Changed the firing pun to the one that came with the cocking piece and it is all good again. The firing pin is slightly bent at the screwed end so although it appears to function fine, I think I will...
Thanks Peter. It is a No4 bolt that I pillaged it off as it was one I used in this very rifle until I found my 'lost ' original bolt. It just doesn't seem to be screwing in far enough. I guess the...
