yup, thats a reattached one
it could just be paint. has anyone spray painted anything with the rifle in the same room? once a company painted a house next to mine and my truck was covered with them
hey musket, that is even what walt kuleck said.
forgive me, but what is a "mt case"?
ps for those wondering. the rifle is well lubed with tetra grease everywhere it slides, and mobil 1...
ive read that if an m1 is ejecting 3 oclock or rearward more than that, and everything else is in good order that you can tune the ejector by clipping a coil off the spring and retest, and repeat...
that is awesome.
ive never used him before but from what ive heard, i wouldnt hesitate to if needed.
the fact that he took the time to contact you with info is very rare in this day and age. i...
excellent. thanks latigo.
you described it quite a bit better than i was able to when you mentioned "kind of like it is pivoting on the tube section"
thanks again.
this is a little op rod test from "The M1 Garand Complete Assembly Guide" by Walt Kuleck and Clint Mckee. it refers to a little test of the op rod and its position at rest, in battery, with an empty...

lol, these are both very good.
if a reciever were to be worn, couldnt the rifle be rebarreled and just finish chambered to fit?
looking at my rifle (got it in front of me, lol) it seems like the lips of the enbloks would control the position of the waiting rounds, but im definitly no expert, lol.
and i do have more than...
good point. yes it does. in 500 rounds or so its had only 1 failure to feed. just click on the empty. i still think the clips have a little something to do with it though, even though they run well...
and as far as the oprod goes, it was an exchange from cmp because the pads were very worn on the one it came with, which is the one in the pic.
you got me to wondering about it, if you mean the ramp on the left? so i went and looked at my other springfield and it actually looks exactly like that too. like the ramp is either cut too deep, or...
which feed ramp?
you guys talking about the enblocs could very well be on to something.
i dont think its the entire problem, but i do think i have a few that i got from cheaper than dirt, and i do believe they...
thanks for the compliment. im sure it must have been refinished too. and yes, its a cmp rifle, service grade. i actually made the trip to the south store and picked it and another off the racks. it...
first of all, this site looks like a dream come true for me.
i have always owned guns, lol, well, since i was about 5 when my pops got me a little 39a.
