Frank, you're right about it being a rare stock. I've seen my share or RSG stock with QHMC ord wheels, but that's one I've read about but not seen. Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting. A good representation of the lateral support between Quality and Saginaw. Is it a high or low wood stock?
Jim, have you seen them any other way? Overton made the forearms, Richardson made the grips. Both of my late original M1A1s (6.35 & 6.37 guns) have the same wood with ordnance wheels on the side of...
Don't be in a hurry to change it out. The park should be dark, almost black in color. The lower portions of the receiver and the barrel from the receiver to the gas cylinder will usually have a...
Bueno! That works. I was hoping he was still in business, I know he's not a spring chicken anymore. Thanks Doug.
This may be the wrong forum, sorry in advance if it is. I bought a sling from Les in the past and wanted to purchase another. I filled out some info on his website a couple of months ago, never heard...
In that range Underwood 3-43 or 4-43 is what I've seen most commonly. Make sure to look for the small P proof on it. Good luck finding the correct barrel these days.
Hey Johnny....in addition to being called "Winnys" a collector friend of mine used to call them "Chinwesters". Anyone heard that one?
I agree with SCB marked wood being plentiful, but how often do you see wood marked S&C or S&C U? My stock is a birch low wood with a super sharp UEF cartouche of the late style.
Well I'm glad that handguard is going to a good home. I'm the other bidder that was up against you. I was looking to get it since I have a S&C U stock, although any P-U or M-U handguard is right for...
Nice pistol there John. What type of camera are you using these days?
At least that's what I think it was called. It was a website that had some really good Garand info listed. Any idea where it went to? Thanks.......
Does anybody know what the CM marking on WRA bullet guides stands for? TIA
John...email sent
Thanks John. That confirms what I've been told about the Ogden arsenal markings. Both of my SCs have the unboxed OG marks on the buttstock.
Since I have your attention, let me get your opinion on...
Thanks to all of you that answered my questions. What Chuck wrote makes perfect sense, especially after having seen the CMP crew at work back in the volunteer days. And thanks to John for giving me...
JGaynor, thanks for taking the time to reply. Guess I could have been more specific in question 4 of my post, I just keep coming up with more questions here.
Bear with me here....I actually have 2...
I'm hoping those of you that are fluent on SC 03A3 features can help me out. I have some questions regarding bolts used on original guns, so fire away.
1. Is there any logic to the numbers found...
First thing, the guy can't even spell Irwin properly. Second, I agree it appears to have been media blasted and reparked. Finally, anybody notice what appears to be a bomb crater in front of the rear...
Well, there's not much to be skeptical about with that one. It's not just the cartouche; there are several things wrong with the stock itself. Trust us...this one's a stinker!
Looks like an early Winchester slide.
Hi Aztrooper...yes, fill out a data sheet. Here's why: I've done some research in the club data sheets in the past and was surprised to see several so called "original" guns have multiple data sheets...
Good to see somebody rescue that one, it's a nice looking rifle. Too bad it wasn't rescued from Bubba before he sawed off that C stock.
Yeah Charlie..that stake mark sticks out like a sore thumb. And I'm not real warm and fuzzy with the rear sight. I've handled a few L&S sights that had identical milling marks on them, but I'd have...
If my memory serves me right, it's either a Korean or Japanese part. I want to say it's Tonkin (something like that) Industries, but don't quote me on that. I'm sure that somebody will come up with...
