$750 is not a bad price especially if it is in good condition and POD D marked. I also have a POD D low number RIA with an AV 12-18 barrel.
If you ever tire of the rifle please let me know as I will gladly return it to its home state.
Most of them show up in the 5.75 to 5.77M range.
A friend of mine used Birchwood Casey blue and rust remover that can be purchased at walmart on a Greek WRA that he was going to have refinished and it took the Greek black finish off without hurting...
I would guess, without the scope, between $1500 and $3000 depending on condition and originality.
Wow, 30 plus! It sounds like I need to make a trip south this week. The FJA stock dates to WW2 so it had to have been added sometime during or after the war. The other rifle with the GG stock and...
Could someone tell me what would be the correct sling for an early SC 1903a3 in the 3648XXX SN range? Would it be the leather 1907 sling or possibly the M1923 sling? I know that some Remington 1903's...
Were there anymore 1903's left at the store?
Here is mine. POD (Phillipine Ordnance Depot) marked early 1918 Rock Island with an AV 12-18 barrel.

Is that a Kerr sling on the 1917?
Thanks J.B., that is what I will look for.
Thanks J.B. is it possible that SC might have been supplied with some unmarked blued sight covers early on? I will look for one with the G and no triangle.
Right now the rifle in question has a parkerised sight cover with no markings other than a P in a circle. I am not sure who made it bit I think that being parkerised it is WW2. I also have unmarked...
Could someone tell me what the correct front sight cover would be for an early Smith Corona A3 in the 3648000 SN range? Would it take an unmarked blued sight cover or one of the non R marked WW2...
Thanks for the info, I did not know that. Even though this could have been easily changed the front sight cover is also looks to be parkerized. Weren't Remington sight covers blued and SC parked?
I would guess Smith Corona since it has a parkerised front band.
